Introduction
This course seeks to provide you with what employers in the field are looking for including detailed knowledge of accounting, finance and business management, together with the information technology skills that give you the confidence to use a wide range of business software. The degree offers considerable flexibility in the areas in which you choose to specialise. International developments in business management and finance are emphasised and there is an opportunity to study a foreign language each year at an appropriate level.

Year 3: Optional Business Placement or Study Abroad Year
Students can also opt to study abroad during this year at one of Westminster Business School’s partner institutions overseas. Opting for either the placement or study abroad year will extend the course for an additional year. Successful completion of either the business placement or study abroad year is recognised with the award of a University Certificate of Achievement

Associated Careers

  • Students having completed the Accounting and Business Management degree will typically progress into a wide range of careers including financial or management accountancy and equity analysis.
  • Alternatively many graduates progress to further study. You can take professional qualifications in accountancy, insurance or financial services or proceed to a Masters degree in accounting or finance.

Entry Requirements

  • 300 UCAS tariff points normally including either three six-unit awards or one twelve-unit and one six-unit award, plus a minimum of five passes at GCSE (grade C or above) including English and maths.
