The MSc Finance and Accounting course has been designed specifically to develop the knowledge, skills, research interests and career prospects of students who are already working in, or wish to work in, the areas of Finance, Treasury Management or Accountancy. A participant on the course with little or no accounting experience will have the opportunity to study modules which will cover this shortfall while graduate members of Professional Accountancy Bodies may concentrate on developing their knowledge of International Accounting and aspects of Finance relevant to the current market.
As a graduate of this programme, you will be provided with a thorough and comprehensive grasp of the principles and applications of finance and accounting together with the technical and conceptual skills necessary to integrate theory with practice.
The course consists of eight modules studied over two semesters (full-time) or four semesters (part-time).

Most modules are assessed on the basis of coursework and written examination at the end of each semester. The project is normally completed in the period following your final examination for submission in May or September (depending on your start date). You will be allocated a project supervisor whose role is to provide guidance and direction to the student.

Applicants whose first language is not English are also required to demonstrate a level of competence in both written and spoken English to a level of at least IELTS 6.5.
