About the programme
The aim of the Research Master’s programme in Art History and Archaeology is to train students in the theory and methodology of material culture studies from several disciplinary and technical perspectives, and to create an awareness of the specific responsibilities that face academics today with regard to the historical study, conservation, restoration and public presentation of cultural heritage. The programme familiarizes students with techniques for translating these responsibilities into fundamental research, analytical reports and interesting exhibitions.
Career prospects
The programme prepares students for:

  • further study and training with a view to writing a successful PhD thesis
  • a position as an independent researcher in the public or private sector (academic or applied research).
  • other relevant positions with academic requirements.

Admission requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in either Archaeology or Art History.
  • TOEFL (minimum score: 620); IELTS (minimum score: 7)
