About the programme

This programme seeks to equip you with the knowledge and the means to make your own value judgements in this field and navigate a path through a fast evolving and sometimes contradictory body of knowledge.

This programme allows you to formulate effective solutions to the global phenomena of climate change and resource depletion. Architecture balances precariously between art and science. Most sustainable strategies are framed in the context of technological solutions. They not only teach you this but also to design responsively and creatively. They want you to be both knowledgeable and reflective about sustainable agendas, ultimately for you to design or procure more thoughtful buildings.

You can study for this MSc either full or part time in a way that best suits your personal circumstances. You can study for a year on campus or alternatively over a longer period through our on-line distance learning facilities.

Admission requirements

They normally expect candidates to have obtained, or expect to obtain, a 2.1 undergraduate degree. Admission is not limited to architecture graduates and they welcome applications from engineering and design disciplines. Those enrolling for mixed mode distance learning must have good internet access and be willing to learn and use weblog and other simple interactive technologies.
