Course details

The programme is geared to students who are committed to developing themselves as design architects within professional and/or academic practice.

Positioned in a faculty of high research attainment the MArch strives to identify key issues that generate important strategic positions and unique design processes at both a local and global scale. Within this context the programme is structured as year cohorts and is supported by technology, professional studies and history and theory courses.

Career and progression opportunities

Most MArch graduates enter employment in architectural practice with a view to gaining the practice-based experience required to complete Part 3, the final stage of qualification to become a registered architect.

Entry requirements

• For non-native speakers of English: IELTS 6.5 overall, 6.0 in writing.
• Degree and/or experience: Architecture BA(Hons), normally with RIBA/ARB Part 1 exemption. Interview with portfolio if not a Brighton Part 1 graduate with a 2:2 award or higher.
