Course details
Museum and Heritage Studies will enable you to engage with the changing world of museums, galleries and heritage sites and organisations. As well as gaining a broad knowledge of the histories of art and design, you will also be involved in close study of the development of museum practice and theory and the construction and curation of collections of varying kinds.
Career and progression opportunities
As a graduate of this course, you will be equipped with a range of skills; historical, visual, interpretative and problem-solving, providing a good foundation for careers in museum and gallery work, arts administration, journalism, publishing and education.
Entry requirements
- A-levels: BBC (typically translates to 280 points in the UCAS tariff). Applicants with only 2 full A-levels or a double award will be considered on an individual basis.
- International Baccalaureate: 30 points.
- QAA-approved access course: individual assessment.
- GCSE (minimum grade C): at least 3 subjects including English language and mathematics or a science.
- For non-native speakers of English: IELTS 6.0 overall, 6.0 in writing.
