Course overview
There is a strong emphasis on self-directed study, as our aim is to develop your individual creative identity. During year one you will experience a broad-based art and design approach, with tuition across all pathways. In years two and three you can select a specialist discipline or continue with an interdisciplinary approach.

The studio-based programme in Fine Art is rooted in the relationship between theory and practice. Experimentation and research are a central part of the course of study across all pathways. There is a strong emphasis on self-directed study, as our aim is to develop your individual creative identity.
During level 1 of your studies, you will experience a broad-based art and design approach with tuition across all pathways. At levels 2 and 3 you can choose to opt for the broad-based fine art approach of the interdisciplinary pathway or focus on a specialist subject.

- A levels: ABB, including an art-related subject
- IB: 32 points, 13 at higher level
- Intake: 100
- Average applicants per place: 3
- Route B: All first-choice applicants who meet the entry requirements are guaranteed an interview, which will generally take place in April 2009.
