Aeronautics and astronautics courses cover applications to the specification, design and construction of aircraft, engines, satellites and other spacecraft.
All the master’s (MEng) programmes provide a direct route of entry to Chartered Engineer (CEng) status and are accredited by the Royal Aeronautical Society.
Course overview
This programme offers a choice of specialist themes of study, or you can select an interdisciplinary theme to provide a broader technical background. You may also choose a European element, which allows you to spend a semester at one of our European partner institutions.

  • IB: 34 points, including a total of 12 in mathematics and physics at higher level
  • Intake: 80–90 students
  • Average applicants per place: 10
  • Selection process: UCAS application
