The sky is not the limit, it is just the beginning. Aeronautics and astronautics encompasses a broad range of disciplines within the field of aerospace engineering.
Aeronautics and astronautics courses cover applications to the specification, design and construction of aircraft, engines, satellites and other spacecraft.
The structure of this programme is similar to the MEng Aeronautics & Astronautics course, but the fourth year is spent abroad at a European University, normally in France or Germany. You will be taught in the native language and will study a range of taught modules and will also undertake some projects. They therefore advise students to take additional language modules (informally) as a means of maintaining or improving their language skills.
Course overview
This degree is aimed at students who wish to pursue a career in the aerospace industry in the European context. You will be encouraged to take additional language modules in years one and two, and there is a compulsory language module in year three. You must pass this module to be eligible to study at one of our partner institutions in mainland Europe in year four.
