Compulsory subjects:

• Structure and evolution of the galaxy
• Structure and evolution of stars including the sun
• Planetology
• Astrometry and Dynamic Astronomy
• Methods of Astronomy and Astrophysics
• History of astronomy

• Astronomical research and teaching;Job opportunities at the Institute for Space Research of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, an academic institutions who study with astronomical content offering to university institutes in mathematics and physical and chemical companies, to institutes of the Academy of Sciences, and in various institutions abroad; adult observatories, planetariums and folk high schools, and in the field of science journalism and in museums;
• The master's degree serves to deepen the knowledge of methodology and theory of astronomy and astrophysics, and special training in specialized areas of this research branch.
