Course details

The programme links many of the systems in modern vehicles and engines to engineering principles, using a practical, hands-on approach. Students benefit from the well-equipped workshops for both engineering and automotive practical work. State-of-the-art online learning is also used to support many of the modules.

You will address engineering fundamentals, and then apply your studies to specific vehicle systems.

Career and progression opportunities

Graduates are well equipped to work on modern vehicles at senior technician level. They will also have extra insight into the operating principles, which will place them at a distinct advantage if they decide to work in related industries.

Successful completion of the foundation degree may qualify you to progress to one of our engineering honours degrees.
