Biological Recognition is the postgraduate programme in Molecular Life Sciences at Jacobs University Bremen. It is nominally based on exploring biological recognition, one of the most fascinating phenomena of life. Specific recognition events occur at all levels of complexity in biological systems, and their investigation requires a convergence of the disciplines of the life sciences, including, but not limited to, structural biology, biophysics, bioinformatics, biochemistry, cell biology, physiology, and biotechnology. Faculty from all these areas have come together to create an interdisciplinary postgraduate programme with a wide scope yet a unique focus
Jacobs University Bremen is an ideal place for a comprehensive education in molecular life science: faculty are young and run ambitious research programmes. Laboratories are brand-new and well equipped. The high faculty-to-student ratio ensures personal supervision.
