About the programme

The Master’s programme in Biology is for students who have a broad interest in Biology and also those who have a specific interest in science at the interface of different Biology domains, such as Ecology, Marine Biology, Biomedical Sciences and Molecular Biology. Within this Master’s programme there is a specialization in Behavioural and Neurosciences.

Career prospects

Graduates of the Master’s degree programme in Biology who have chosen a scientific career often start with a PhD or join a research and development team in a company or research institute. Students who have done a society-oriented project find jobs as Science Advisors at governmental organizations, research institutions or companies.

Admission requirments

Requirements for admission to the Master’s programme in Biology include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Students for the behavioural and Neurosciences path have to show that their Bachelor’s degree contains enough courses relevant to this field.
  • The Admissions Board will decide whether you can be admitted to the Master’s programme.
  • Sufficient English proficiency is required. Language requirements for international students include an IELTS test score of 6.5 or a TOEFL test score of 580 (paper-based), 237 (computer-based) or 92 (internet-based, iBT).
