Educational requirements: BSc in biology or equivalent.

Language requirements: TOEFL (minimum score: 550 (213 computer based)); IELTS (minimum score: 6.5)

Objectives: To understand life and nature in its various manifestations, to understand the processes in living organisms and the development of biological diversity and to be able to do scientific research in this field.

Subjects: Molecular biology; cell biology; development and behaviour; ecology; ecosystems and global change; nature and biotechnology policy; science communication and education.

Modes of instruction: Lectures, practicals, computer modeling and laboratory instruction, excursions and field work, coached research projects, internships. Some courses are e-learning supported.
