Course details

This degree offers the opportunity to study both business and a language (French, German or Spanish) and to gain firsthand experience of studying or working in an overseas country. Students may also select a route without studying a foreign language but still gaining cross-cultural experience at one of our English-speaking partners in Europe, North America or Australia. A three-year route is possible for those with prior work experience or higher level studies gained outside the UK.

Graduates find career opportunities in a broad range of businesses, industries and international organisations such as the United Nations.

They follow many different business routes such as international management, sales and marketing, finance, human resource management, purchasing and logistics. International business graduates are in demand both abroad and in multi-national companies in the UK.

Entry requirements

• A-levels: BBC (typically translates to 280 points in the UCAS tariff). Applicants with only 2 full A-levels or a double award will be considered on an individual basis. Must include French, German, or Spanish if undertaking future studies in a non-English-speaking partner institution.
• ND/C (Level 3): DMM.
• International Baccalaureate: 30 points with 16 at higher level.
• QAA-approved access course: acceptable, subject-specific units.
• GCSE (minimum grade C): at least 3 subjects including English language and mathematics.
• Foundation degree/HND/HNC: direct to year 2 may be possible with relevant subjects.
• For non-native speakers of English: IELTS 6.0 overall, and 6.0 in writing, or equivalent.
