The Manchester Global MBA is the part time/blended learning MBA programme aimed at developing general management skills for executives from across the world and different backgrounds from the public sector, to HR to marketing and beyond.

The Manchester Global MBA - commencing September 2009 - replaces the former Manchester Part Time / Executive MBA programme and is designed to meet the changing needs of their business audience. The new blended learning approach will enable applicants to benefit from participating in one of the world's most rigorous MBA programmes, without taking a career break or committing to fixed weekly classes. The 'spirit' of the renowned Manchester Method of experiential-learning, action learning, group work and reflection is incorporated throughout the programme and is covered by the Group Internal Project, Strategic Management (with project element), Live Company Project and Personal Reflection - this MBA delivers practical learning based on real-world business challenges.

Course aims

The structure of the Manchester Global MBA allows students to accommodate the demands of career, study and family. Its flexible format comprises of eight compulsory modules (including strategic management that entails a project element, four electives, a group internal project during the first two trimesters and a live company project during the final two trimesters.

Each course module is anchored in practical applications and problem solving bringing real benefits to you and your organisation, during and after the period of study. Modules are complemented through face to face residential workshops that are delivered by UK faculty and are held in the UK and at MBS Worldwide's overseas centres.

Entry requirements

Academic entry qualification overview: A First class honours degree, or the equivalent, with relevant work experience. In certain circumstances we may require an applicant to take the GMAT test as further evidence of their potential. A minimum of six years suitable managerial experience, during which you have been exercising initiative and decision-making responsibility, is also required.

English language: Proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential and supporting evidence such as TOEFL, may be required.
