Overview

Essentially students study the first three years at an University outside of the UK  and then complete their final year at the University of Westminster in London.  Students thus spend one academic year in the UK, and the Bachelors degree is awarded by the University of Westminster.

Study will be by lectures and seminars.  In the first semester students will mainly study together, but in the second, they can fully mix with other national and international students.  Any student with the right background may choose a different but similar module to those given below, in the first semester, and thus integrate with others from the beginning.

In addition to subject knowledge, it is vital that you develop good transferable skills which are required within the Global Economy. You will learn how to work effectively in teams, solve problems, develop critical thinking and of course present your ideas persuasively.

Employers want graduates who have well developed communication skills and can plan and organise their work effectively. The learning outcomes of the modules have been designed to meet these needs.

Course Structure

Eight modules will be studied (4 each semester) plus an additional English support module in Business Communications.

The eight modules are:

  • Economics, Finance and Investment
  • Organisational Behaviour and Analysis
  • Marketing and Communications
  • Cultural Differences and People Management
  • International Business
  • Project
  • Design or E-Commerce or Strategic Information Management
  • One Free Elective

Career opportunities

With this degree you can look forward to excellent career prospects within the Business world. Opportunities exist in a variety of areas including , organisations or consultancy, international companies, accountancy and marketing firms, and in the diplomatic area, including the British Counsels in China.

Most students (80%) have progressed to a Masters degree, both at Westminster and other universities, including some to the prestigious London School of Economics and Harvard in the USA. Further study at Westminster  include Masters in  Finance, Marketing, Business Computing and Global Business, the latter being an exciting opportunity to study in two different countries, e.g. the UK and France/Germany(MBA)/Spain/Russia (and in the near future the USA) with their partners.

Entry requirements
