Introduction

The development of easy communication and efficient international transportation, international relocation of production and service provision and a significant increase in economic migration makes the study of international business and management increasingly relevant.

The course reflects the main functional areas of international business and integrates theoretical knowledge with practical enterprise skills in a global context.

Semester 1 (October-February)

• Aspects of Marketing Management
• The International Economy
• Human Resource Strategies
• Managerial Accounting

Semester 2 (February-September)

• International Business Policy
• Information Management
• Project

One option from:

• Aspects of International Business Law
• Modelling Business Strategy
• European Business and the Environment, or
• A module from any other appropriate programme in the University

Teaching and Assessment

You will be assessed on the basis of course work and/or a written examination at the end of each semester. The project is completed during the summer period and is submitted in September. The nature of the course work and the examination is varied and the aim of assessment generally is to develop your analytical skills. In assessing course work, special emphasis will be placed on oral and presentation skills.

Entry Requirements

• You will require at least a Lower Second Class Honours from a UK degree or Overseas equivelant.
• If English is not your first language then you will need to obtain IELTS 6.5 or equivelant.
