Beginning with the Winter Semester 2005/2006, the studies at Aalen University were converted to the internationally recognised degrees Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.).
The studies for the B.Sc. are comprised of seven semesters. In the first four semesters, a broad-reaching basic knowledge will be conveyed: general chemistry, mathematics, physics, data processing, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, technical chemistry, biochemistry.
The fifth semester is a practical study semester, which the student completes in an industry or research laboratory, nationally or internationally. In the sixth and seventh semesters the student chooses between the following concentrations:
Through the broad education in chemistry we provide, students with the bachelor degree have a wide range of career possibilities, in chemical industries as well as in non-chemical industries such as the auto industry. The demand for Aalen graduates in chemistry has been high in recent years up through the present, making for excellent career prospects.
You will also have the opportunity to take part in a three-semester master programm.
Prerequisite is a subject-linked higher education entrance qualification or an entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences.
