A PhD research degree takes place over three to four years full-time and research areas include Computational chemistry, modelling of chemical and biological systems, QM-MM method development and theory of biocatalysis.
The standard academic entry requirement for PhD entry is normally an Upper Second UK Honours degree or international equivalent in a relevant science discipline.
English Language requirements
Students whose first degree has not been studied in English will normally have to reach a required standard in an International English language examination such as IELTS (6.5) or TOEFL (570 PBT, 230 CBT) and may be required to attend a language course at the University Language Centre prior to entry.
