Civil engineering surveyors are specialist professionals who are involved in construction projects from the initial design and planning through to completion of the works and often beyond. They measure, map and monitor to enable design, build and stability. It is their expertise that ensures that high-rise buildings are vertical, tunnels arrive at the correct locations or that bridges meet in the middle.
A highly practical degree, Civil Engineering Surveying places a strong emphasis on technological and practical aspects of the subjects.
The programme is modular and available in a part-time mode. The part-time mode is available both as a day release and a block release. The programme is taught in combination with the other two degrees in the Surveying Field of study. Making it possible to change between pathways in the first year.
Graduates from their surveying programmes are sought after as there is a skills shortage in this area.
