Course details

This course develops a critical understanding of the nature and significance of the processes of civil engineering, and the skills to practise civil engineering in real-world situations.

Module fields reflect the expertise of academic staff, including particular research interests in earthquake engineering, structural concrete, geotechnical engineering and finite element analysis.

Career and progression opportunities

The course is particularly appropriate for work in structural engineering incorporating earthquake-resistant design.

Entry requirements

  • For non-native speakers of English: 6.5 overall and 6 in writing.
  • Degree and/or experience: Normally honours degree or equivalent in appropriate subject. Candidates with substantial professional experience may also be considered on merit.
