Media Computer Science is an important area of applied computer science. It concerns itself especially with surface components of information systems.

Media Computing Science as a study emphasis in the Department of Computing Science offer you comprehensive and praxis-oriented training in the following areas:

• Foundations of Computing Science: algorithms, data structures, programming, mathematics, computer and operational systems, networks
• Basis Technology in Media Computing Science: computer graphics, computer animation and virtual reality, cross-media publishing, and internet-based systems
• Multimedia: design of multimedia systems, multimedia production
• Software Architecture: the foundational construction of large software systems, especially applications distributed over a local or global network (internet)
