The PGCert in E-Learning Design is a part-time programme aimed at those working in or intending to work in the e-learning industry. Two awards are available: a 60-credit and a 90-credit version.
The 60-credit PGCert in E-Learning Design is suitable for students with a background in education, multimedia or computing. This programme provides a means of augmenting your skillset to fit the needs of the e-learning industry.
Areas covered by the programme include e-learning design, learning technologies, project management, and theories of learning (60- and 90-credit versions). The full 90-credit PGCert in E-Learning Design (Professional Practice) provides an opportunity to develop effective reflective practice in the workplace.
UK entrance requirements
A first- or upper second-class undergraduate honours degree. Mature applicants with relevant experience will also be considered on an individual basis, but are advised to apply in good time (ideally by the end of May). Successful applicants come from a range of backgrounds, including computing, education and creative writing.
Overseas entrance requirements
Sussex receives applications from all over the world and is therefore very experienced in assessing the qualifications offered by students from outside the UK.

English language requirements
IELTS 6.0, with not less than 6.0 in each section. Internet TOEFL with 80 overall including 22 in Speaking and 24 in Writing. For more information, refer to English language requirements .
