The Master's programme in Computer Science helps to improve the students' competencies in planning, designing, and creating information systems and leads to a professional qualification.

During the first three semester students will choose lectures, an internship, and a seminar in a chosen area of specialisation, three other areas, and a minor subject.

The following specialisations are offered:

  • Computer Graphics and Visualisation
  • Development of Embedded Systems
  • Information and Communication Systems
  • Intelligent Systems
  • Robotics
  • Software Engineering
  • Verification

In the fourth semester every student has to write a thesis.

The Department of Computer Sciences at the University of Kaiserslautern has a unique research environment at the university and the associated institutes. International teams of professors, postgraduates and students collaborate on various fields of research that cover a broad range, with particular strengths in:
