Educational requirements: BSc engineers of a relevant engineering discipline. Engineers of a comparable level may also be admitted.

Professional experience required: Practical experience during Sandwich Year BSc.

Language requirements     TOEFL (minimum score: 550); IELTS (minimum score: 6.0)

Objectives: The programme has been offered for many years, while the course contents are kept up-to-date with new technological developments. In addition to a firm theoretical foundation, ample attention is given to practical applications. Leading to a postgraduate diploma. Successful execution of a major project will lead to a Master in Control Systems Engineering.

Subjects: Control engineering; frequency domain design; control engineering laboratory (E); modeling and simulation; root locus design; fluid mechanics and heat transfer; instrumentation; PLC laboratory; fuzzy control laboratory; industrial networks; Matlab/Simulink; multivariable/state space design; servo mechanisms; digital control systems; statistical process control; batch control.

Modes of instruction: Lectures, workshops, tutorials, seminars, field trips.
