Educational requirements: Bachelor degree in any subject or an equivalent.
Language requirements: TOEFL (minimum score: 550); IELTS (minimum score: 6.0), An assessment of the level of English can also be done by an intake interview before the start of the programme.
Objectives: This programme aims to: 1) enhance career prospects in the labour market by developing skilled managers who can contribute effectively to organisations with an information systems dimension; 2) provide recent graduates, from a variety of disciplines, with a broad range of knowledge and understanding of information systems, the business environment and research techniques.
Subjects: Core Modules: research methods & skills; database management systems; project management; information systems organisation & management; international management. Optional modules: software engineering; E-business & commerce; international marketing; IT service management; business communication/English. Over summer: dissertation.
Modes of instruction: Module tutors will be responsible for tutorial guidance in advance of course work and examinations and for feedback after each assessment. Students will be taught by a combination of methods including lectures, seminars and tutorials. Assessments will be done via coursework, exams and presentations. Students will also be allocated a dissertation supervisor.
