Course description

E-Government is one of the four pathways for the MSc Information Systems course.

ICT is having a major impact on the way governments are run and how they communicate with citizens. Today's governments have to be accessible and accountable and you can help them achieve this goal by understanding and exploiting the latest technology.

You study the relationship between ICT and e-government and have the opportunity to view your learning in an international context. You analyse and evaluate contemporary governmental practices and learn to apply technologies such as the internet and world wide web to governmental practice.

You also study the relationships between different e-governmental models, and the internet and network architectures and technologies that support them. You to develop expertise in managing, designing and deploying ICT in an e-government context.
