Objectives:

The aim of ESST is to contribute to a better understanding of the impact of technological change on society. Researchers and students interested in technological change and innovation learn to develop informational resources, analytical skills and conceptual frameworks, and to apply these to the study of innovation, ethical issues and modern societies.

Semester 1: Problems of society; science and technology (S&T); history of S&T; production of S&T in institutional settings; globalisation/localisation/regulation of S&T; ethical/intellectual/philosophical problems related to S&T. Semester 2: thesis on basis of specialisation.
