The curriculum consists of three related areas:

the basic module: covers the fundamental principles of intercultural communication and co-operation,
the regional module: covers geographic areas of specialisation as chosen by the student,
the competence module: addresses practical skills for intercultural communication.

The programme is based on a three-phase model:

exploration and confrontation: familiar and foreign values,
information: orientation and practical knowledge for dealing with concrete situations,
action and reflection: projects and synthesis.

Approximately one-third to half of the programme will be conducted in English.
