Educational requirements: Bachelor's in social sciences.
Language requirements: IELTS (minimum score: overall band: 6.5)
Other requirements: Skilled in use of computer applications (Windows, Office, World Wide Web).
Objectives: The programme educates for a broad spectrum of functions and jobs in institutions on local, regional, national and international level, with a primary focus on design and development of instruction and curricula, as well as related to advisory, consultancy, evaluative research and policy tasks.
Subjects: Design, research, evaluation, implementation and policy issues in the areas of curriculum and instruction, combined with domain supporting research methodology. Programme design: curriculum and instruction design; capita selecta curriculum research; capita selecta instructional research; two final project-directed specific courses (content and research methodology oriented); final project/thesis.
Modes of instruction: The programme will be offered in such a way that it can be studied in a full-time, with some allowances for part-time mode. Initially the programme consists of a core of lecture/class bound with some guided self-study. In the second part the programme is more tailor-made by accommodating the students' competences and needs, and it more flexible in terms of planning.
