The Graduate programme of the Jacobs Center educates students with regard to the knowledge and strategies available in the behavioural and social sciences concerning lifespan development (e.g., health, social cognition, personality, social relations), individual and societal conditions of lifelong learning, and the impact of the demographic changes on the labour market and society as a whole. This involves a number of disciplines such as human performance, lifespan psychology, health and personality psychology, communication sciences, educational science, life-course sociology, and business administration. Thus, students who successfully complete the programme combine disciplinary depth with the necessary transdisciplinary breadth. Within the programme two different tracks are offered: one puts a relative emphasis on a professional and the other on an academic career.
