Introduction
This course is specifically tailored for those wishing to fulfil the academic requirements for membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
The MA in Housing Practice is a two year part time course leading to the award of an MA with Pass, Merit or Distinction. The course allows you to fulfil the requirements of the Chartered Institute of Housing. The MA is a professionally oriented programme that examines both theoretical and practical issues relevant to housing policy, offering a challenging and reflective course of study, considering the context and background to key debates surrounding housing, regeneration and sustainability. The overall aim of the programme is to enable students to think strategically and to effectively operate as reflective practitioners.

The course explores both the current policy content of housing practice as well as investigating the underlying theoretical debates focused around the management of change and urban governance.

Entry Requirements
- Applications are invited from graduates with a good undergraduate degree in any subject, but who have also had some experience of working in the public, private or community sectors.
- Alternatively, applications will also be considered from students who do not hold the formal entry requirements but can demonstrate substantial relevant work experience in an appropriate managment role.
- In addition, applicants should have English Language competency judged sufficient to undertake advanced level study (equivalent to 6.5 IELTS).
