About the programme
The International Land and Water Management programme focuses on the scientific analysis of the physical, technical and socio-economic aspects of land and water management. Graduates will be able to design sustainable and efficient interventions and technical structures in land and water management. These interventions should be appropriate to the relevant agro-ecological and socio-economic environment.
The programme consists of course work (one year) and thesis research (one year). In addition to the compulsory courses (CS), you can choose optional courses. The amount of (restricted) optional courses depends on the chosen profile. The programme will be tailor made - depending on your background and research interest- in consultation with the study advisor.
Future career
After finalizing your MSc programme International Land and Water Management you will be widely employable as a consultant, policy maker, researcher, development worker or project manager in any part of the world. Job possibilities can be found at engineer- and consultancy bodies, NGO's, governmental institutions, universities and research institutes.
Admission requirments
- General admission requirements
Students who wish to enrol in a MSc programme at Wageningen University must have:
- At least a BSc degree (or equivalent) in a field of science relevant to the specific programme selected;
- A GPA (Grade Point Average) for the BSc study of at least 7 (or 70% of the maximum of the scale);
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken (see English language proficiency);
- Good skills in mathematics and/or statistics;
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook; use and structure of the Internet; RSI-prevention).
