The programme imparts theoretical knowledge and practical experience in Landscape Ecology, Biology, Conservation Biology, Geosciences, Ethics, Communication and Economy and is based on individual mentoring.
The graduated M.Sc. in Landscape Ecology and Nature Conservation will have:
Semester 1 & 2: Fundamentals (50 credit points): Landscape and Vegetation, International Conservation & Management 1, Ethics & Economics of Sustainable Land Use, Personal Profiling & Soft Skills, Practical Study Project, Practical Landscape Ecology, Excursion Landscape Ecology
Semester 2 & 3: Specialisation (selection of 5 modules covering 40 credit points): International Conservation & Management 2, Environmental Ethics, Global Change, Restoration Ecology, Vegetation Ecology, Applied Vegetation Ecology, Aquatic Ecology, Mire Ecology, Palaeoecology, Plant Systematics, Population Biology & Genetics of Plants, Animal Conservation & Ecology, Ornithology
Semester 4: Master's thesis (30 credit points)
