This Master's programme is run in close collaboration with the National Institute of Public Health and the Environment (RIVM, Bilthoven) and with the TNO Quality of Life (Zeist). The programme is internationally-oriented and most students take part in international activities, e.g. by doing their minor research project at major universities and institutes abroad.
There are many possible career opportunities, varying from scientific research, journalism and education to jobs in the private, public or non-profit sector.
The Master's programme is streamed such that it will prepare students for either obtaining a PhD in fundamental and applied research or for a direct societal position at an academic level.
Depending on the career perspectives that appeal to you most, rather than following a regular research profile, you can also decide to replace your minor research project with one of the professional profiles, which include Management, Communication & Education (C&E), or Drug Regulatory Sciences (DRS).
