Educational requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Professional experience required: Preferably 3 years of work (academic) experience.

Language requirements: TOEFL (minimum score: 550); IELTS (minimum score: 6.0)

Other requirements: Evidence of sufficient command of English language and basic computer skills.

Objectives: The specialisation aims to equip urban professionals with the latest insights and skills to identify and analyse environmental problems and to manage sustainable urban development and equitable infrastructure services.

Subjects: The core of the master analyses urban development challenges and management solutions to make cities work. The specialisation focuses on sustainable urban management; environmental impact assessments; municipal and corporate environmental management; integrated infrastructure provision. An optional module can be selected on urban and regional development strategies, social development, or housing.

Modes of instruction: The specialisation combines a mixture of theoretical and empirical material with a strong emphasis on comparative analysis of international experiences in urban environmental and infrastructure management. Participants will conduct research and write their thesis – non-compulsory in their home country - within the 'Urban Environment and Infrastructure Management' specialisation.
