Introductions

The Master’s specialisation in Economics and ICT is aimed at students with a sound, academic training in economics and informatics.

The aim of the Master’s specialisation in Economics and ICT is to train students to analyse complex economic phenomena related to the rise of ICT. The programme focuses on the relationship of management control and information systems. Students learn to evaluate the role of modern ICT technologies within the primary and supporting processes of organisations, with attention to information security, risk management and the role of ICT auditing.

Career Prospects

There is a considerable demand for graduates with managerial and computer science skills in all application domains of business economics. The job prospects for graduates of the Economics and ICT programme are excellent. Career opportunities are available in:

  • Consultancy firms
  • IT auditing firms and departments
  • Information management departments of large organisations (this includes insurance companies, banks and the government and non-profit sectors)
  • ICT and auditing departments of the same type of organisations
  • Information and communication system development and design
  • Research institutes
