Introduction

The Master’s specialisationin Economics of Markets, Organisations and Policy is ideal for students who wish to prepare themselves for prominent positions in government, research organisations or business enterprises.

The academic field is broadly divided into two main branches: microeconomics, which deals with individual agents, and macroeconomics, which considers the economy as a whole. Modern microeconomics plays an important role in the analysis of the firm (strategic decisions and management). Macroeconomics is particularly important for policy analyses.
