The Master’s specialisation aims to increase students' insight into the economics of cities, regions, ports and transport. It provides students with advanced knowledge that helps them to understand and appreciate the importance of the spatial dimension in economic processes.
The Master’s specialisation in Urban, Port & Transport Economics is concerned with the impact of location and distance in economics. In other words, the Master’s specialisation highlights the economics of cities, regions, ports and transport.
The job prospects for graduates are good. There are numerous job opportunities in both the private and public sectors. Career opportunities arise, for instance, at consultancy firms (transport & logistics, urban development & management, location research), logistic firms, airlines, railway companies, shipping enterprises, property developers and investors, financial institutions, university and research institutes, local, regional and national governments, international organisations, chambers of commerce and in many other directions related to urban, port and transport matters.
