Course description
The BA (Hons) in Applied Community and Youth Work Studies is a new undergraduate degree course being offered at the University of Manchester within the School of Education. The course is designed for individuals interested in serious study of community and youth work issues and practice and is a professional qualification. National Youth Agency endorsement and JNC recognition has been obtained for the course.
You will receive a University of Manchester degree and JNC endorsement, a professional qualification. You will enhance your:

- confidence and flexibility in relation to practice in management and policy development roles

The degree is already a pre-requisite for many managerial, training and development posts in community work, youth work and community development, including local authority departments (e.g. Youth, Community, Education and Leisure Services) as well as charitable and voluntary sector organisations (NGO's), Children and Family Services, Youth Offending Teams, Connexions, Housing Associations, Health Services.

- AS level: Two AS levels of equivalent grades are accepted in place of one A-level.
