Research projects can be supported in any of the broad areas outlined. Candidates for MPhil/PhD degrees can attend selected core course units attached to the ESRC recognised MSc in Educational Research programme as advised by their supervisor(s) and Director of PGR. Entry point is typically September annually, but in certain circumstances a January or April entry can be considered.
Academic entry qualification overview: For the PhD, a good honours degree, or the overseas equivalent, in a relevant discipline. Candidates should also have a Masters degree, or overseas equivalent, completed at a level which indicates potential for research, or evidence of research training and/or experience of research amounting to one year.
English language: Students whose first language is not English require IELTS with 7.0 in writing or TOEFL 600 paper based with TWE of 4.5 or 250 computer based with essay rating of 4.5.
