The PGCE is a recognised teaching qualification, endorsed by Standards Verification UK and the Higher Education Academy. It meets all the requirements for PTLLS, CTLLS and DTLLS. This professional development programme is relevant for all adult trainers, and those working in adult and community education, the health services, social services, armed forces, and the police and emergency services. You will gain increased understanding of the teaching and learning process, acquire competence in curriculum design and the assessment of learning, and expand your professional knowledge of post-compulsory education. Successful completion of the programme carries 60 credits at master’s level.

Entry Requirements
All applicants are interviewed. You will need to have evidence of your degree qualification, and your commitment to developing your professional skills. You must have sufficient opportunity to teach or train during the PGCE programme (a total of 120 hours over two years). You will also need to show evidence of your qualifications and these should include Literacy and Numeracy or their equivalent at Level 2.
