About the programme

Optoelectronics and laser technology make the fascinating properties of light useable. Important parts of the studies are system competencies and the ability to work together in a team of engineers, both independently and responsibly.

The study of optoelectronics is composed of seven semesters, including a practical study semester in the industry, and is completed with the title Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.). Following the three-semester basic study period, you can choose between concentrations in “Optoelectronics” and “Laser Technology and Optics”.

At the end of your studies you will be able to:

• Encode information onto light
• Convert light signals into electronic signals
• Design and control optical systems
