Industrial Electronics is concerned with measuring and controlling in industrial processes. Essential for these activities are compilation, conversion, transfer, and analysis of electrical signals.
Technical Computing Science places hardware and software for digital computers in the centre, as digital computers belong to the most important tools in all areas of natural sciences and technology today.
Media and Communication Technology is a rapidly developing subfield of information technology, in which formerly separated areas such as consumer electronics, computer technology, and communication networks develop together with one another.
The scope of possible fields ranges from industrial electronics (automatisation technology) to the entire field of electronic data processing to telecommunications and media technology. Due tot he breadth of their education at Aalen, their graduates find employment opportunities not only in electronic fields, but also for example in related fields of computing science and engineering.
Responsibilities span all areas of modern technology, including applied research, planning, proposals, and development, production, and technical sales. A great number of their graduates occupy leadership and managerial positions.
