Course overview

Electrical engineering concerns anything that involves electrical power, from the electromagnetics of superconducting systems to the principles of power generation and transmission.

This programme enhances the BEng material with a selection of courses, including more advanced engineering topics, management studies, law and group projects, in which you will tackle wide-ranging engineering problems.

  • Years one and two are allowing for transfer between the two courses during this time
  • Emphasis on independent learning in years three and four
  • Group design project in year four, to design and construct a product needed by industry
