Educational requirements: Master in physics; chemistry; electrical engineering; mechanical engineering or equivalent.

Professional experience required: No (DTI is post-master program almost directly following Master track).

Language requirements: Fluency English.

Other requirements: Motivation and endurance, sufficient level (showing from marks etc. in master's phase).

Objectives:

  • Training of high level design engineers in physical instrumentation and technology, aimed at the high-tech industry (Industrial program).
  • Training of medical physicists (Medical Physics programme)

Subjects: Personalized menu of courses and workshops including: technical writing and editing, personal development, project management; purchase order, all taking 9 months; design project in industry or in a hospital (medical physicist) taking 1 year; and finally an internship in industry of 3 months, preferentially in the USA.

Modes of instruction: Lectures; workshops; meetings (regular 'design day' meetings 6 to 8 times a year); purchase order at industrial fair; project work in industry or hospital (1 year); internship (3 months); regular evaluation meetings at university.
