Basic contents are Integrated Interface Design, Design and Technology of Facades, Facade Materials and Surfaces, Construction and Dimension, Comfort, Energy and Building Physics, Management, Tendering and Contracting, Technical and Professional English, Communication and Rhetoric. Aditionally the programme provides specialised (workshops or symposia) and Project Modules about New Materials, Specific Constructions, International Law, Visions and Innovations, New Technologies, International Construction, Production and Assembly Technology, Construction Site Management, Glass Technology, Kit of Parts: Fixing, Fitting, Joining, Software for Planning and Simulation, Analysis and Research.
The modular contents are provided in various forms: Lectures, seminar-style lectures, seminars, projects and internships, generally each working within a different medium. Student self-study is supported by intensive supervision of students during the attendance periods, by special instruction materials and intercollegiate Intranet support.
The International Facade Master provides a comprehensive overview as well as the scientific foundations of the field of facade planning and consulting, and also enables personal specialisation. The programme provides the qualification not only for new construction, but also for construction work in existing structures, with the requirements for the planning and implementation of dismantling, redevelopment, preservation, conversion and building recycling. Particularly in the area of facade design and construction, new fields of activity are arising in the development and integration of new technologies. This includes the use of new materials and construction techniques, as well as the development of prefabricated parts and the incorporation of complex building technology.
