All courses have a strong focus on applied engineering with practical experience. Students are required to complete an internship before and during their studies in order to obtain practical experience in their chosen field.
After completing their basic engineering studies in the first three semester, students have the option of focusing their interests in energy and environmental protection engineering, applied physics, physical engineering, biomedical engineering, automation engineering, electrical energy engineering, chemical engineering, nuclear chemistry, and ecological chemistry and soil protection.
Students can complete their Bachelor's projects in industry or the nearby Research Center Juelich (http://www.fz-juelich.de) as well as in the laboratories of the university.
