Aim of workhops

Two workshops will be offered:

  • Brain Computer Interface, BCI
  • Functional Electrical Stimulation, FES

The aim is through a two-day workshop to provide hands-on experience with neural rehabilitation technology. The workshop should focus on one specific task or problem that needs to be worked out during the two day workshop, e.g. design and test a BCI system or evaluation of cuff recording selectivity in an animal model. The students should work in groups of 2-5 students (whatever is feasible). They should prepare a presentation on their work, and there will be a price for the best presentation/best work.

Elements includes the workshop:

  • System design
  • Experimental design
  • Data collection
  • Data analysis

For the symposium, AAU students will receive a 1.5ECTS credit provided an exam is taken. The course is co-organized by the International Doctoral School in Biomedical Science and Engineering, and therfore a dimploma will be issued by the doctoral school. Foreign/other students will receive a course certificate stating their participation. For the workshop, all particpants will receive a certicificate stating their participation.
